Joseph Dziuba, a passionate educator steadily approaching the decade mark in the education sector who is certified in mathematics (K-12) and works diligently to meet the needs of each individual that crosses his path. His passion for teaching and learning coupled with his vision of developing a community of leaders fuels his mission of cultivating a positive school culture and climate for all students and staff, built upon ideals of excellence and high standards.

Having been dubbed a “millennial” or digital native, Mr. Dziuba keeps a steady pulse on the role technology plays within education and utilizes this knowledge to design learning environments that help spark creativity, engage critical thinking, and most importantly, are fun to be a part of.

Mr. Dziuba has dived into the deep end of being a connected educator and has expanded his professional learning network so that he can learn as much as he can and from as many people as he can. Being connected affords him the opportunity to contribute to the organic conversations occurring in the world of education.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Mr. Dziuba brings a unique energy and passion to education and each learning environment you may find him in. Aside from being a high school mathematics teacher, Mr. Dziuba can be found after school advising the Student Council and Peer Leadership program. In the fall, you can find him on the pitch lacing his “tekkers”, twirling his whistle, and coaching the Varsity boys’ soccer team at New Brunswick High School. Coach Dziuba is a collaborative-minded, resourceful, and adaptable professional, who is always eager to invigorate and get involved within the school community.

Bow-Tie Joe is also an organizer of EdCampNJ.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Joe is a true Jersey boy having spent roughly a decade in each “section” of the state (North, South, & Central). Mr. Dziuba is a proud graduate of Palmyra High School (’09) where he could be found in the band room honing his craft (clarinet, piano, saxophone, or the drums) or out on the soccer pitch and baseball field.

Joe considers himself a bow-tie connoisseur, having started the #BowTieTuesday trend within the halls of New Brunswick High School. He is an avid listener of educational podcasts, his two favorites being the House of #EdTech and Podcast PD, during his 5 AM workout sessions or bike rides. In all of his “free time”, Joe also enjoys spending time with his younger brothers, Nick and Giovanni, or going on a run with his Dalmatian, Summer. Joe is an avid sports fan and enjoys keeping tabs on the athletic programs of his beloved Scarlet Knights.
